About Kinkstay

An atlas of the places that actually exist

Why an atlas

Planning a kink-friendly trip used to mean a dozen open tabs: rental listings that mentioned "special furniture" and showed none of it, forums that swore by a Berlin kink hotel nobody could find, and directories of thirty countries with nothing behind half of them. We built Kinkstay to replace all of that with a single, honest map of rooms you can book tonight, each with the gear its host has installed.

Honest means the counts are real. Today the atlas holds 441 stays in 15 countries, and 400 of them are in France, because that is where the hosts are. When a country has three stays, it gets its own page; until then, it simply appears in the list with its true number.

How a stay gets on the map

Every stay is submitted by its host, who writes the description, uploads the photos, sets the price and declares the equipment. We read each listing before it goes live and we translate the gear into plain English, but we do not visit the rooms. If one piece of furniture is the reason for your trip, ask the host before you book: the good ones answer quickly, and without blushing.

Listing a stay on Kinkstay is a paid service for hosts. It is how the atlas stays independent of any single booking platform, and why you will not find invented reviews, fake "12 people are looking at this" counters, or a map padded with places that do not exist.

How we are funded

In two ways, and both are visible. Hosts pay to be listed. And when a booking button leads to a partner platform, such as Booking.com or Airbnb, that platform may pay us a commission: the page of each stay says where its button leads, and the price you pay is the same either way. Nothing is ever booked or paid on Kinkstay itself.

A few stays are featured. In our default order, they appear first and are shuffled on every visit, so that none of them is permanently on top. The moment you sort by price or by date, featured status no longer plays any part.

Keeping in touch

Travellers, hosts, and anyone who spots a mistake on the map can reach us through the contact page. Hosts will find everything about listing a place on a page of its own. The company behind Kinkstay is named in the legal notice.
